Young people say that traveling to different countries benefits them and society. Do you agree or disagree? Give your opinion? | Real exam ielts writing task 2 topic | computer based ielts writing task 2025 |

📌 Sample Answer

It is often argued that when young people travel to different countries, it not only benefits them personally but also has a positive impact on society. I completely agree with this view, as travelling abroad helps youngsters gain valuable skills and experiences, which they can later use to contribute to their own communities. I will explain my opinion in the following paragraphs.

On the one hand, travelling to foreign countries provides young people with exposure to different cultures, lifestyles, and ways of thinking. This helps them develop open-mindedness, tolerance, and better communication skills, which are essential in today’s interconnected world. For example, a young person who studies or works in another country learns how to adapt to new environments and understand people from diverse backgrounds. These experiences also improve their confidence and independence. Therefore, such opportunities not only help them grow as individuals but also prepare them to face global challenges.

On the other hand, society also benefits when young people bring back what they have learned abroad. When they return, they can share innovative ideas, modern technologies, and better practices they observed in other countries, which can help improve their own communities. For instance, many young entrepreneurs who study or travel abroad come back and start businesses or social initiatives that create jobs and solve local problems. Moreover, international travel creates stronger connections between countries, which promotes peace, trade, and cooperation. Hence, young people’s experiences abroad are not just personal but also beneficial for the wider society.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that when young people travel to other countries, it benefits both themselves and society. It helps them gain confidence, knowledge, and skills, and at the same time, they contribute to the development of their communities by bringing back new ideas and global perspectives.

👬 Cue Card: Describe a friend from your childhood

âś… Sample Answer:

Honestly speaking, one childhood friend I still remember fondly is Rahul, who grew up in the same neighborhood as me. We’ve known each other since we were about five years old, and we went to the same school for more than ten years.

Rahul and I first met when my family moved into the area. He was already playing cricket with some other kids, and he invited me to join. From that day on, we became inseparable. We shared the same interests, like playing outdoor games, watching cartoons, and even exploring new places around our town. We would often spend hours together after school doing homework or just talking about random things.

Although we eventually chose different career paths, we’re still in touch and meet whenever we can. Even now, when we talk, it feels like nothing has changed between us.

Honestly speaking, one person I know who always dresses well is my best friend Rahul. We’ve been close since childhood, and over the years I’ve noticed that he has an excellent sense of style.

Rahul usually wears clothes that are both modern and classy. On casual days, he prefers slim-fit jeans with a crisp shirt or a smart polo. On formal occasions, he always shows up in a perfectly tailored suit with polished shoes and a matching tie. Even when he’s just wearing something simple, like a plain T-shirt, it always looks neat and thoughtfully put together.

I usually see Rahul when we meet up at cafes or attend college events together. No matter the setting, he stands out because of how confident and comfortable he looks in his clothes.

The reason I think he dresses well is because he pays attention to details—like coordinating colors, ironing his shirts, and even accessorizing with a watch or belt. His style reflects his personality—confident, organized, and approachable.

Some people think that the most important thing about being rich is it gives a person the opportunity to help other people. Do you agree or disagree? | Real exam ielts writing task 2 CBT | Computer based test |

📌 Sample Answer

It is often argued that the most significant advantage of being wealthy is the ability to help others. While some people may believe that wealth is primarily for personal comfort and luxury, I personally agree that the best thing about being rich is the opportunity it provides to support others in need. I will explain my opinion in the following paragraphs.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why being rich is valuable because it enables people to help others. Firstly, wealthy individuals can contribute to society by donating money to charitable organisations, building schools and hospitals, or supporting social causes. Such contributions can make a real difference in the lives of underprivileged people and help reduce inequalities in society. For example, many well-known businesspeople and celebrities use their wealth to run foundations that support education, healthcare, and disaster relief efforts. Secondly, helping others not only benefits society but also brings a sense of satisfaction and purpose to the donor. People who use their money to improve others’ lives are often respected and remembered for their generosity. Therefore, wealth can be a powerful tool for creating positive change.

On the other hand, some argue that rich people are entitled to spend their money as they wish, and their main priority should be to enjoy a comfortable life. They believe that since they have worked hard to earn their wealth, they deserve to spend it on luxury, travel, and personal happiness. While this point of view is understandable, I believe that helping others is more meaningful and impactful in the long term. Rich individuals have the resources to solve problems and make a difference, which is something not everyone can do. Therefore, they should see it as their moral responsibility to give back to society.

In conclusion, I strongly agree that the most important aspect of being wealthy is the ability to help others. Wealth should not only be seen as a means for personal enjoyment but also as an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others and make the world a better place.

University students always focus on one specialist subject, but some people think universities should encourage their students to study a range of subjects in addition to their own subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree? | Real exam ielts writing task 2 cbt |

Sample Answer

It is often argued that university students should focus only on one specialist subject, while others believe that they should also be encouraged to study a variety of subjects along with their main field of study. I personally believe that universities should promote a balance, where students gain deep knowledge of their chosen subject but also get exposure to other areas to develop broader skills. I will discuss both perspectives in the following paragraphs.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why focusing on a single specialist subject is beneficial. Firstly, universities are the stage where students build expertise in their chosen field to prepare for their careers. Focusing only on one subject allows them to develop in-depth knowledge and technical skills, which are often required in today’s competitive job market. For example, a medical student who spends all their time mastering medicine is likely to become more competent than one who divides time between medicine and unrelated subjects. Furthermore, specialising in one field can save time and reduce pressure, as students can concentrate fully on their area of interest without being distracted by additional coursework. Therefore, sticking to one subject can help students achieve academic excellence and professional success.

On the other hand, encouraging students to explore other subjects alongside their major has its own advantages. Firstly, it helps develop transferable skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving, which are valuable in any profession. For instance, a student of engineering who also studies communication or business can become more versatile and adapt to different roles in the workplace. Additionally, learning about other areas helps students understand the world better and become more well-rounded individuals. This is particularly important in today’s interconnected world, where problems often require knowledge from multiple disciplines. Therefore, studying a range of subjects can improve both personal development and employability.

In conclusion, while focusing on one specialist subject allows students to gain expertise and excel in their careers, studying a variety of subjects alongside can help them become more adaptable and well-rounded. In my opinion, universities should encourage students to prioritise their major while also offering opportunities to explore other fields for their overall development.
