The
diagram/illustration depicts how leather is converted into finished products.
In
an overview, it can be observed that this process involves 11 steps, initiating
with drying of leather and finally turning leather into goods such as bags,
shoes and ball.
The
making of leather products contains several steps. Firstly, the leather is
dried in direct sunlight. After that the dried leather is transported to the
factory where it is washed into mixture of water and lime. The washed leather
is then soaked in lime. Then the leather undergoes flattening.
In
the subsequent step, the flattened leather is then immersed in a container full
of tannin which is a solution of water and vegetable matter. Before
transporting it to manufacturing facility, it is polished using a machine.
Lastly the raw leather is turned into finished objects such as bags, shoes and
balls.
